Membership Drive on NOW!
Why bothe with paying for a membership to the Museum when you can aget in for free???
There are lots of reasons!
Your membership is more than a name on a list—it is a vote of confidence in preserving and sharing the story of this place we all care about. Because of you, the museum continues to stand not just as a building, but as a living part of our community.
Over the past year, we’ve been working steadily behind the scenes—strengthening exhibits, improving visitor experience, and building toward a more vibrant, engaging museum that reflects the depth of Cranberry Portage’s history. From rethinking our interpretive signage to supporting community events on the museum grounds, every step forward is made possible by the support of members like you.
Membership matters in very real ways. It demonstrates community backing when we apply for grants, helps unlock funding opportunities, and shows that this museum is valued, active, and worth investing in. Quite simply—it helps keep the doors open and the momentum going.
As we move ahead, we’re also excited to begin offering more opportunities specifically for our members. We’ll be introducing member-focused events, behind-the-scenes experiences, and ways to connect more closely with the work happening at the museum. Keep an eye out—there are some great things coming.
We invite you to take out a membership and continue being part of this journey with us.
Together, we are not just preserving history—we are shaping how it is experienced for generations to come.
Thank you again for your ongoing support.

Caribou Bill's is Returning to Cranberry!
This project started last year with the acquisition of a similar-era log cabin from Manitoba Resources.
Over the winter, we moved it a couple of kilometres to the grounds of the Museum to begin a reconstruction of the iconic landmark in Cranbrery Portage that delighted visitors from all over.
A GoFundMe drive has been established to help mitigate costs with restoring this cabin and then refurnishing it to resemble what once was.
Want to help? Any amount (you can put your own amount in) at this site.
