AMY BLANDING is a powerful voice in contemporary folk — queer, disabled, and unapologetically bold. Based in Prince George, British Columbia, her music blends haunting melodies, protest-folk grit, and storytelling rooted in both personal and collective experience.
With her band Reckless Burning, Amy has released stirring work like “Sunbirds” — a song born from conviction, activism, and resilience — that has drawn international attention. Her debut solo album Down the Line introduced listeners to her rich, introspective soundscape: earthy instruments, stirring harmonies, and lyrics that explore identity, place, and justice.
On stage, Amy commands attention: her presence is magnetic, her voice resonant, and her songs demand to be heard. Whether in intimate venues or festival settings, her performances feel both vulnerable and bold — a blend of artistry and purpose that lingers long after the final chord.
